Abstract: Inadequate information on the scale of current spending on biodiversity conservation & unmet needs is seen as a major impediment to securing the necessary mobilization of financial resources. Using data for birds the project assessed, for the first time, the costs of preventing extinctions and safeguarding a global network of key sites for biodiversity. This presentation was by Donal McCarthy, BirdLife International/RSPB and was held in the Judge Business School on September 27, 2012
