13th July 2020: ‘Computational Methods for Visualization, Simulation, and Restoration Microscopy Data’ – Martin Weigert, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland's image
Description: Abstract: Modern microscopy modalities produce increasingly large volumetric
image datasets which are difficult to interpret without the help of
computational methods. In this talk, I will highlight some of our work that leverages machine
learning to tackle general analysis problems such as image restoration
and nuclei segmentation.

CV: Martin Weigert is a computer scientist whose research focuses on
computational optics and machine learning based image reconstruction and
segmentation for microscopy. He recently joined EPFL, Switzerland as a
group leader.
