About this item
Description: | As a droplet of aqueous solution of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) dries, concentration of the surfactant within the drop is regulated by marangoni and evaporative flows. Within the droplet, regions with higher concentrations of SDS experience crystallisation. The shape of hydrated SDS crystals is a function of local concentration and rate of transformation. |
