Abstract: Considerable change is underway through the centrally organised exchange of experience and cooporation with international counterparts. However, the different educators carry differing assumptions about what aspects of school practice are in the most pressing need of innovative input, or even what constitutes an innovation in Education. An important basis for such divergences lies in the differing imaginaries - visions of desirable future education.
