Abstract: This includes ideas from other countries on linking affordable house building incentives to conditions that limit rents and make the housing available to households on limited incomes. The film shows that housing investment in the UK has been low by international standards for several decades and new ideas are needed if the long term problem of under investment is to be addressed.

The film is being shown at policy seminars and roundtable discussions with housing professionals and policy makers.

The production of the film was made possible by an award from the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account Pilot Programme.
