Description: On 1 October 2010, in a ceremony in Cambridge's Senate House, Sir Leszek Borysiewicz was admitted to office as the 345th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge. He was previously Chief Executive of the Medical Research Council, and before that Deputy Rector of Imperial College London.

The University of Cambridge is one of the world's greatest research Universities, with 17,500 students reading a broad spectrum of subjects at the 31 constituent Colleges.
